My musical taste stagnated in the '90s. I've been making an attempt to be more current. Here are some songs from the last year or 2 that I'm really loving. (Part one, "Bands that people compare to Joy Division)
Interpol "Rest my Chemistry".
A beautiful song about taking a break from cocaine for the night. The album came out in July 2007, but this video is new.
Editors "Racing Rats"
Just about every song on the album is about death, this one has the best video.
The Killers "Shadowplay"
Moving on from simply being influenced by Joy Division, The Killers go right out and cover a Joy Division song. Arguably better than the original.
