Tablet weaving

I really-really love this hobby!

Strange, but the plastic bag clip that often failed with plastic bags has proved strong enough to hold the weaving, when the project had grown too long.

And it did grow longer and longer.

Until it became impossible to turn the cards. Not perfect, grows narrower here and wider there and the filling yarn is visible here and there. But as a result of my first tablet weaving project I really do like it. Now it is waiting for the next step - something has to be done with the edges.

And I've started a new project.

Well, not at once. First I looked for tablet weaving patterns in the Internet. Most of them are SO COMPLICATED! I wonder if I'll ever be able to cope with patterns that have three packs of cards at once, each moving in its own direction... No, for now I'll just try to improve my skills with the easy one. I'll only add borders this time. And the yarn on the shuttle should be the same colour with the borders, now I know it.

First of all I decided it was easier to attach the threads to the pencil without knots - you should just take double length threads:

Then I changed my mind and attached the threads directly to the buckle (my knew project is going to be a belt, as well as the first one):

Unfortunately, there's no crochet yarn in my city, but I've found suitable smooth yarn. I's microfiber and it stretches a little bit, but it won't spoil the weaving, will it?
