I distinctly remember a scene out of my childhood. I was 7 years old (I can recall this because I can remember myself in the white and blue acs uniform while holding hands with my mom) and it was a Saturday after ECAs. Finally settled in at Monterey.

Thanks to the book my lab gave me (and what Eric said about Kansas), I planned a really cool route that (bypassed Kansas) took me to Oklahoma City, Albuquerque, Petrified Forest, Rainbow Desert, Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, and finally to the Bay Area.

I am leaving St Louis for good tomorrow. Caught up with friends here for a bit, but was hit horribly by the weather: 110F!  Now there's a storm outside the house and we are wondering if we are going to get power outage again, or fallen trees on the car. To be honest, this trip back to St. Louis wasn't half as good as I thought it would be. I don't understand why, but somehow or another, I cannot see eye to eye with a few of my closest friends suddenly. Of course I am feeling terrible. No one wants to pick a fight for no reason. It's kinda scary, but I have been back in Singapore for 4 weeks already. Somehow or another, it doesn't feel right because I don't recall time flying by that quickly during my previous trips.
