Trying to get through the transition

I find myself in this weird state of just...I guess it's exhaustion, but it's also got a tinge of just general malaise and listlessness. I've spent most of the past two days on the couch under a blanket watching TV with the cats. And at first I felt guilty about it. But just a few moments ago I realized something - I just finished a Master's ( Read more... )

Congratualations!!! Big hug! You finished a Master's Degree from a pretty impressive school, started your first films, directed some shows you were VERY proud of, divorced, started up a new relationship, built new structures in your home, worked on refinancing your home, kept up a LJ, knitted some damn fine projects, and continued to provide that loving support to friends that is your trademark.

If you want to curl up with the cats for a while to catch your breath, it's understandable.

I am just now finishing my last day of work for the next two months, during which I may do my best imitation of broccoli. Or a person on summer break.

Enjoy!

Well, golly, when you put it that way... :) And, boy, have YOU been paying attention. I'm glad someone around here knows what I've been doing the last few years, because it's mostly a blur for me.

And can I pass some of that break along to YOU? Jeez, six more weeks on crutches. So sorry, dude. I hope at the very least that you are getting to watch a bunch of good movies or something. (Though I guess eventually that gets boring and annoying.) Take care! And get yourself up and ready for partying by the time I make my Texas trip in the July/August time frame! :)

I think I've had enough breaks for the year, thanks. *rimshot*

I've finished Buffy and am about to start Firefly, so I guess that counts for something. Oh, and I'm losing weight, because getting up to find something to snack on is more trouble than it's worth.

Hope I'll get to see you when you're in Texas.

You BETTER get to see me when I'm there. I'm making a side trip to Austin just to see that group of folks, of which you are a major part. I fully expect to have a grand time with you, Jonathan, Lyndsay, Susan, as well as Karin and Bruce. Darn it. :)

a mutual friend says we should run into each other some time.

I'm really impressed by your resume. I'm not in the theater, but I have family members that are, and it sort of rubs off. I'm more of a film buff.

Hope to run into ya soon!

If okelle recommends you, you must be good people. So I'll add you to the ol' friends list. (Without that, you can't read my LJ these days. I locked it down after an ex started commenting on it.) Nice to meet you!
