That's an interesting theory. I wonder though if having our feelings in the middle of our bodies, more specifically in our hearts, actually leaves us more vulnerable. When your heart is broken nothing else can work either. Maybe exoskeletons are the key...

I think having our emotions in our hearts is the only practical place to put them. I was trying to point out how broken we all are even if we can't obviously see it. I'm grateful that Jesus can see into our hidden places and heal us.

Actually we have emotions with our brains. And I read somewhere that the original biblical seat of our emotions is our kidneys.

Kidneys, huh. Just doesn't have the same effect the heart does. Take every love song ever and replace "heart" with "kidney" and you'll see what I mean. Nobody cares if you left your kidney in San Fransisco!

I think I'll need a scripture reference before I change my tune. While our emotions may start in our brains it's our bodies that pay the price good and bad.
