LOST I WATCHED IT FINALLY
....so the AU was basically KINGS CROSS, RIGHT? Just with less naked old guys, and more of Desmond being adorable and every OTP ever happening. Except for Sayid/Danielle, but to be fair, that was a bit out there. And Nadia had no island connection.
Um, I liked it lots? A bit disappointing that purgatory turned out to be an answer after all, but Jack's death was moving and I loff his character, and I love that he came about defeating Flocke with both logic and faith. IT WAS ALL GETTING V LOTR up on the cliffside, right upto Kate getting Jack's back and dragging him away from Mt Doom and Jack making peace with the world and getting ready to go the Grey Havens. KATE MUST GO ON AND HAVE MANY CURLY HAIRED BABIES.
...I did indeed discover in these final episodes that if I had to choose, I would be Jack/Kate all the way. That kiiiiisss made me mush.
And MANY remembrances made me dewy-eyed, like Jin/Sun who always had the most heartbreaking hugs and CHARLIE/CLAIRE DEAR GODS. It makes me sadface that there was no Walt/Michael/Vincent moment, but I guess I'm going to guess the kid had his GCSEs or something. And Rose/Bernard showed up and were still rocking it hippy-style, so that was cute. THERE ARE NO WORDS for how much I wanted Sawyer's emotional connection to be with Jack, but sadly the show did not provide the lulz and go there, which is a shame because I never particularly felt Juliet. But it did provide Jack and Desmond all but making out in their final scene, so that was okay.
And I loved Ben's eventual peace, and the fact he wasn't quite ready to leave a life that finally offered happiness. And the suggestion that he and Hurley had an awesome time running the island. And will one day run around playing cupid to Ana Lucia and Eko.
Which brings me on to SPIN OFFS THAT MUST EXIST. Ricardo's adventures in a post-16th century world that is suddenly not Spain or the island. Claire and Kate being Gay Mummies because they so were. Faraday's alt!musical career. And Waaaaaalt: growing up and marrying the bb!Yi Jeon.
Okay yay, I can stop avoiding eljay and tumblr and american friends on facebook and all such things now.
