Strange. It was just so strange. Naoto had only picked up bits and pieces of information about this holiday...Valentine's Day. Couples enjoy it, she'd gathered that much. But what about those who were alone? Who did not have a boyfriend? It seemed awkward.

Her opinion on Valentine's Day? Bah, Humbug!

"Ow!" A startled cry as Naoto felt a sudden sting against her neck. She slapped a hand against it, only to find nothing. She frowned, rubbing her skin gently. Was it just her imagination?

...And why was she suddenly craving chocolate-covered strawberries?

She blinked and turned her attention to the concerned stranger. At least she thought it was a stranger. She'd never heard Heine's tone that...soft before. It took her a moment to respond, even though that unusual mask and his signature style confirmed that it was him right away.

"I'm fine. I just got bit by a bug or...something."

It felt a little strange, crossing paths with him on the street this way. Is this what they call fate? Naoto shook her head gently, trying to clear it of such a random thought.

"What're you doing?"

((OOC: Yikes. XD))

[As a fighter, Ky generally knew when something felt off. That something was now -- a sharp, tight, pinched feeling in his chest. As if a large needle just struck his heart. On instinct, he whirled around to look for an attacker.]

Who's there? [he demanded, only to be answered by silence. He didn't seen anyone. Perhaps he'd merely imagined it? But something was different -- he could tell -- and it bothered him as he continued down the street on high alert.]

[Oof. Well. Keeping an eye on his surroundings and trying to settle that strange difference he felt meant that he wasn't looking at what was in front of him. To say he was startled is an understatement. For a second he thought that he was being attacked. On instinct, he reached out to grab the offender roughly by the shoulder to prevent escape.

It slowly dawned on him that this was someone he knew.]

Lavi?

[These days were weird. Naoki had opted to hide out (brave soul that he was) in his room. To avoid spouting any more sappy poetry (where had he read that, again?) at people.

BUT...boredom drove him from his sanctuary by the twelfth. Which was why he was to be found roaming the streets of Promenade. His eyes are fixed on the beach in the distance. Maaaaybe he can get there unscathed. And maybe he can ignore this odd urge that rises up every time he so much as spots a person in the distance.

Yup. Ignoring.]

--Ah. Ted.

[The name slips out before he even thinks about it as he turns in his direction. And. He stares for a few moments, blinking. That--g-go away, stupid urge. He would rather have the urge to spout sappy poetry than this--!

One hand partly lifts to the side of his neck, as though about to rub it awkwardly.

M-maybe he should just...go... But he can't seem to move. =3= What is this, feet, committing mutiny? Not cool.]

[So, after getting used to the initial wtf that is winged men shooting people with arrows, Fabian's actually found that the apparent effects are funny to watch. Mostly because it wasn't happening to him. So he's just chilling on a roof top, popcorning. Or he would be if he actually had some.

Clearly, someone should burst his bubble. Or join him.]

[Fabian was already getting up when he heard the landing, probably to take a look and decide whether it was someone he should be punching (...what it's common sense, what if it was some asshole). Of course, since he's apparently not the person this guy's looking for, at least Lavi won't have to deal with an angry shark.]

Ya got a bone to pick with someone?

D had been anticipating a nice day lounging about on the beach and watching the seagulls fly overhead. It was a good day, a quiet day, and that was all he could really ask for here.

Eventually, D felt a sharp pinch in his chest, the kind that made him sit up and glance around to see if anything had suddenly happened to him. What had that been?

(ooc: Would someone like D be able to see these things/know what happened?)

Ladon had hoped that changing into dragon form would alleviate some of the issues with whatever spell was running through his system. If it was a poison, he could filter it out quicker in this form. If it was magic, maybe he could fight it with his transformation spell off. If it was something else, maybe stubborn dragon physiognomy would help out in some way.

So when he peeked out of the alley he's hiding in, spotted D and was immediately overcome with the need to raid the flower shop behind him, he found changing form did very little--

Except make delivering a bouquet of red roses a little more difficult. He held the flowers in his mouth as he trundled out of the alley and looked at D with a small, keening noise like a very large and scaly dog.

Ah. Well. It seemed he was going to have suffer through the effects of the arrow. Waving off what had to be the minions of a Goddess - Aphrodite, perhaps? - D stood and wandered back into town. He was hardly expecting anything of interest to happen when he heard a small noise and felt a presence behind him.

"Ah, hello there," D said as he turned. When he caught sight of the flowers, his mismatched eyes widened and joy. "Are those for me?"

D moved closer, feeling rather infatuated with the creature before him. The dragon form was cute, and the human one was rather good looking. D quite liked him!

Ladon nodded, placed the flowers on the walkway and nudged them towards D with his muzzle. He was unaware of the other's ability to see both his forms, and he managed to keep enough self control to keep from speaking just yet. He sat back on his haunches, tilting his head to the side and wondering if his gift would be accepted.
