The tavern's dark, everyone's quiet, and all's spirit pressure is masked behind kidou. Now all thats left is for the guests of honor to walk through the door. When they do, Masden and Ichigo will have some nice party clothes to wear so they wont stick out.
Shiro is happily crouched under one of the tables, sending out tendrils of reiatsu to sense for his other. The kidou was like a one way mirror; they could "feel" out, but none could feel in. Not that Ichigo could, anyway.
Now this is a spread! Want finger foods? We got finger foods. Want booze? We got booze. Want chocolate? ...Dear god, we got chocolate. And lots of it. And we also have a very nice and tastefully done birthday cake. The strawberries on fire cake got discarded yesterday when it was realized out gaudy it looked. Kanji really came through!
Fenrir's lounging near the food in wolf-form. He brought a bunch of god-quality booze and an entire dead cow for people to eat, but he's interested in sniffing out what else there is.
Who's surprised? Lior sure isn't, but she is glad to see Fenrir because he is surprisingly good company, and she enjoys spending time with him. If only because he's so chill about everything.
So she slides up to his side and leans over, "Hello, Fenrir."
"Heya, kiddo." Don't give him any shit about not being a kid, Lior; he's older than you. Wagging his tail, Fenrir quickly licks the frosting off his face before nudging against her.
Sorry, Shiro. Rukia cleared some space away for a little dance floor in the main area for people to cut some rugs. The enchanted music box will provide whatever musical accompaniment you might be able to think at it.
Initially, Nepeta had been dubious about attending this party. Yes, she'd spoken to Ichigo before and yes, she knew a lot of people who would be there but trolls just didn't do the getting dressed up and partying thing. Well, Kanaya might have. Nepeta, however, had always been happy in her usual outfit.
Still, she had sought advice from Lior and while she felt a little weird in her dress, she had to admit it was pretty. The usual hat and tail made for odd accessories, of course, but at least she had tried?
Now, the kittytroll was in the dance floor space, happily dancing along to whatever happened to be playing. Of course, she would make a point of socialising more later but for now she was more than content to dance, even if that meant being the only one doing so.
Sorry, Nepeta, Rukia is trying to cut a path through the room to the food table with a long plate of sushi in her arms. Being as tiny as she was, people tended to not bother with getting out of her way, even if she was the hostess. Thankfully, all there is is a jostle and none of the rice rolls spill off the sides.
More private, away from the mill of people downstairs. Serves more expensive, rare wines and caters to the unique needs of some of the supernatural crowd. A perfect place for intimate conversation.
Initially, when she had learned about the party, Lior didn't even want to go. Not because she didn't want to see Ichigo and Shiro, but because she thought that they didn't want to see her. Since her conversation with the hollow after the ten-year-whatever-that-was, she felt like she had disappointed him and, by association, disappointed Ichigo.
But she had come, because Kanji had assured her that everything would be okay, and because she didn't want them to be even angrier at her if she didn't. But instead of being her usual peppy self and prancing around the place like nobody's business, after the surprise and such, Lior had hidden away in the lounge, trying to think of what she should say to make amends, if she even could.
She sat on one of the chairs, clad in the dress Kanji had dreamed up for her, and idly fiddling with the ring on her finger. If someone came in, she would smile at them and try and strike up conversation. She wasn't that anti-social today. Just nervous.
Drifting into the room for a moment, just to escape the noise down below, she was genuinely surprised to see the elf girl sitting here, essentially alone in the lounge. That was unusual. And to be so quiet and seemingly navel gazing was even stranger.
"I didn't see you arrive. Sorry for not greeting you."
Lior looked up when she heard her name, smiling at the other girl and straightening up a bit, "Hello, Rukia!" She said cheerfully, trying to play it off like she wasn't just sulking, "It's all right. There are a lot of people here, so I understand. How are you?"

"I don't know, I can't see them or sense them. They might be walking here."

"I'm crampin' under here! Maybe I should send him a distress signal! That'll light a fire under his ass."

Also, he might have some frosting on his nose.

"My apologies! Are you alright?"

"I'm fine, honestly. Are you? Do you need some help? I can help if you'd like."
Because she looks busy and Nepeta doesn't feel she can not ask that question.
