[You've toiled and struggled for the past few days, tiring and trying to stay alive. Some of you may have not made it, others watching you fall victim to the monsters and horrors of this realm
( Read more... )
[The stone walls still linger with vines, plant life easily pushing through the cracks and insisting on staying. Feral creatures still roam, and anything that moves is as good as chased and killed when it's seen.
[ His pack is tired, injured, and there is little he can do for them when they're on the move. They don't like it out in the roads or the beach, and so Fenrir leads them to the castle gardens, ignoring the eyes and the dolls hanging from the trees as he finds a place for them to rest.
Wounds are licked, naps taken while he and several of the others guard, hackles raised. He is the largest, growing in size when he has to in order to take down anything that comes too close, that could cause too much damage. The pack eats serpent and arachnid, but he's no healer, not even proficient at first aid in his humanoid form.
He's be grateful for someone who is right now, but he won't turn away anyone looking for a bit of refuge. ]
[ Luckily, Lior managed to actually eat while she was at the clinic and that nap she had while she was there helped up her magical energy, so she was more than ready to go out and help the injured again. Not that lack of magic would have stopped her anyway, but that's beside the point.
Once she had let Veles go and entertain himself with setting things on fire and harassing the locals, she found herself wandering around, fending off monsters when she had to and healing those that asked for her help ( and some that didn't ). It's no surprise that she eventually wanders across the pack of wolves, though the few on guard leaves her a bit wary at first. ]
[ She's right to be wary -- they're all on edge at the moment, smelling of smoke and blood. She doesn't harm them, though, and Fenrir could smell her coming. Her scent is remarkably unique, even when mixed with that of a dragon (and he makes a mental note to find Veles and eat some whales later on and talk about how much fun this all was. ]
Hey Lior.
[ He pauses, turning his head to growl something at one of the wolves loitering near the serpent carcass before he shifts to his feet and goes to nuzz her, greeting her like a member of the pack. ]
[At a certain point, he's had to descend to street level and the suit? The suit is a mess, paint scraped off, scratches and gouges all over it and bodily fluids from whatever the hell is out there.]
Stay back!
[If you're not sure who Tony is addressing, it'd be the small group of civilians huddled together as he takes aim at a reanimati. If anyone wants to join in or tend to the civilians, he'll be thankful for it.]
[ Rebecca's van isn't in great shape either, dents and scratches and blood covering it, but the windows are still intact and it still runs. Ollie the Newfoundland is still with her, whining slightly whenever there's a spare moment. Rebecca has picked up a Wraith along the way, though she hasn't quite noticed.
She spots Tony, though, and that's enough to get her to speed up, to fling open her door so her dog can jump out and guard the civilians while she screeches to a stop on the other side, creating a makeshift shield of at least one side. She's out the door soon after, leaving it open in case they need to leave in a hurry and tossing a grenade at the reanimati.
Of course, it was dreamt up, so it bounces harmlessly off its head. ]
[Thank god, she's not dead and after last time...well sorry but only Tony gets to be the reckless asshole around here. The dog catches his attention but he notices the van and points from the citizens to it because even though it's going to be a hell of a crush if she picks up more people, it's a better chance to get them somewhere safe.]
Watch yourself.
[He takes aim, palm open and there's the whine of the repulsor before the blue burst is fire out. It's all he's got left now anyway, his own grenades ran out and after witnessing hers, he's not going to dream them up in case the suit explodes.
Maybe that's part of the lesson here: don't get too used to the creature comforts we provide, we can take them away too.]
How's it out in the city? Any hotspots we need to get to?
THE FORBIDDEN PATHSodosuSeptember 21 2011, 02:29:23 UTC
[Everything is broken here, and the once desolate abandoned buildings are now nothing but shambles and havens for new terrors waiting to kill. It is highly suggested you avoid here at all costs.]
[Cerulean blue eyes are watching the blood drip from the ends of the warhammer, seeming almost distracted and daydreaming before he lifts his head seconds after. A lot had happened the day before, making him feel cold.. almost empty once it was over. Tired eyes flickered to the side, licking at his lips nervously before raising the weapon and moving around. He spent a while thinking about it though, he couldn't spend all day doing that. He had to focus on helping people and his friends.
Slipping the hammer to float beside him, he held up his hands as they begin to glow a light blue. Not far from where he stood gathered a group of locusts likely in search for some prey to stuff themselves with. Probably not expecting clouds to bunch up, wind picking up and a tornado piercing downwards and snatching the creatures into the twirling air.
[ one lone locust that wasn't added into the group suddenly finds itself catapulted into the air--Sora found it easy to hit the creature up, though he hadn't meant it to add it to the group.
though, it looks pretty cool to swirl them around like that.
he's learned his lesson on calling people out while they're fighting, so he doesn't speak to John until he's finished. ]
[The sea reeks of blood, and the monsters are only getting hungrier. Don't listen to the music you hear from the sirens, it might lead to you drowning.]
Re: THE BEACHconsultmybooksSeptember 21 2011, 20:23:59 UTC
[The music is almost soothing, really.
But Giles knows what it means. The insanity assaulting him from all sides by the Wraith tailing his shadow has created, perversely enough, a cold, calm center that can, with effort, resist other forms of madness.
The siren stares up at him with mad, hungry eyes before he swings the sword and chops her head off.]
Day 3 & 4godofpancakesSeptember 22 2011, 01:36:29 UTC
[So the fighting has lead him to the beach. He's covered in blood not his own; he dislikes being in dirty armor, but has little choice at this point.
Protecting people, the rage of battle--this is what he has been built for, trained for. He doesn't lust for it like he used to, but he knows that this is necessary, that it matters. So he'll do all he can to defeat these creatures, even though they keep coming. Even though it seems futile.
DATE MANOR - open to any who know Koju or his Lord (or anyone nearby)loyaldragonSeptember 22 2011, 04:06:10 UTC
[ well isn't this peachy. Here he is after fighting off nightmares and monsters at the gates of the manor, alone, lordless. He isn't about to let anything close to it.
Bolts of blue lightning snap through the air around the manor as Kojuro defends his lord's home. He could use some help. ]
At this point, thanks to the aftermath of the entire fight with Psuedo, Madsen's body has done a very peculiar thing - after being fully in synch with Nithal, it seemed to exhaust her soul more than anything else, so for the moment, you're dealing with a phoenix trapped in the girl's body while she rests up.
"Her" eyes are white-gold,, shich is probably the first sign that something's not exactly right. The more somber and serious tone in "her" voice probably doesn't help that. But it doesn't look like there's much trouble in taking out the monsters, at least.]
[ Kojuro sends one more bolt of lightning with the swipe of his sword at a gaggle of only marginally threatening shadows off to the side then he notices Masden. ]
Masden?
[ As a strategist, he was trained to be extremely observant, sensitive to his surroundings and to change. Something seemed off about her. She was warn out, signs of battle very present, yet something more was off. What, he wasn't quite sure yet. He made no change in his stance, his back still to the walls of his lord's manor. ]
