Film Festival Day 3 - Absurdistan lives up to its name

...as a farcical fairy tale set in an isolated former USSR village. The men are renowned for their virility, the women do all the work, and the single pipe that brings crucial water to the town is breaking down. The women vow "no water, no sex" and the men hatch increasingly ridiculous schemes to win them over, then to escape the village entirely

Sounds like it's based loosely on Lysistrata... and also awesome.

Same general idea, except Russian: when the baker and his wife run out of water, she uses vodka to finish the dough instead.
