I use a Mac for my game, so I am not sure if it is different if you use a Windows based pc. What I usually do is, within the game, use the camera function. I believe the command is "ctrl + C" on Windows. I take pictures of all the different things that my Sims family does and then I use spotlight [or "find" on Windows] and type in N001 for pleasantville [the numbers go up according to neighborhood]. In this file, there should be all the pictures that you took during gameplay. Come to www.livejournal.com, select "update." Click the upper left icon that looks like an image in the text box for the entry. This will allow you to select pictures from your computer. Add them in the order and act like you're telling a story. Make sure to use a cut before your pictures begin. To do this, type "ljhyphencut="whatever you want to say"> Except instead of the word hyphen, use the actual punctuation. I am not entirely sure what else you would like to know, just ask.
