Tenma had so generously offered to help Anzu with her English, and he was trying to make up for his problems in the past - How could she refuse? Still, she had promised Pegasus she would stay on her toes, and she was definitely planning on it. He had kidnapped her, he was known for bad things. She wasn't stupid, but trying to be forgiving ( Read more... )

Tenma liked beautiful girls, he liked them a lot, and Mazaki Anzu was one of the most beautiful girls in Domino. She was also, coincidentally enough, the girl he had taken hostage, the first time he'd had dealings with the town, or with anyone in it, and it rather amused him how readily she was giving him a second chance; of course the girl was naive, that was why he'd managed to take her hostage in the first place.

He had no intention right now of putting her at risk though, this was going to be nothing more than a harmless, very pleasant dinner. He had made them reservations at La Vie En Rose, and he'd arrived right on time to pick her up; smiling to himself, thinking about pretty, innocent Anzu, and how enjoyable it was to watch her fall all over herself being forgiving, Tenma walked up the stairs to her apartment and knocked on the door.

At the sound of Tenma knocking, Anzu jumped a little - She had gotten herself engrossed in a television show about haunted theaters and ballets, and was more than a little startled by the sound. She picked up the remote and clicked the show off before getting up and answering the door.

"Hi!" she said brightly, smiling at him. My, he looked handsome, didn't he? She blushed just a bit and took a step backwards. "Would you like to come in for a few moments?"

"Mazaki Anzu," Tenma smiled, taking in her small apartment and the cheap sensationalist television program she was watching in a glance; he took in how pretty she looked as well, and congratulated himself again on his taste. "I'd love to come in," he said.

Her apartment was inexpensively furnished, about what one would expect for one of Moutou Yuugi's friends. Without waiting for an invitation, Tenma sat down on the couch. "Thank you for giving me the chance to take you to dinner," he told Anzu.

Anzu blushed just a bit and shook her head. "Thank you for asking me," she said, fiddling with her sleeve a bit. She hadn't been on a date or anything resembling one in a while. Of course, she didn't consider this a date by any stretch of the imagination, but still...

She reminded herself to keep on her toes and smoothed out her skirt again nervously.
