The top two are easy : Jonathan strange and Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke and Mara and Dann by Doris Lessing.
The third one is a bit more difficult : I really like The Counterfeiters by Gide, or Oedipus Rex by Sophocles. Or maybe the Harry Potter series? Choices, choices...
The last book I finished is Allegiant, the last tome of the Divergent series. It was bleh.
And the last book that kept me up late was the first tome of Divergent : it was far better than the other two volumes in my opinion. It was an easy and fun read, more like a YA guilty pleasure.Ptherwize, I stay late often to read fanfiction...
Just finished : the second volume of Hex Hall, a YA paranormal series. It has all the strappings of the genre : first person point of view, an heroine everyone likes and two love interests (which is two too many, but teenagers like it and it sells books). Still, it was an OK read, the writing was competent and there was enough action to balance everything else.
And K : books I won't read. I read in every genre, even if my least favourite genre is thriller/mystery. The only books I won't read are the boring ones, or the ones with so many spelling/grammar errors that is keeps me from enjoying the story.
