I wish you all a very merry Christmas, and a happy New Year in advance. Let's hope 2016 is better than 2015 concerning terrorrists attacks (I live in France : two in one year were two too many). I also hope you all a wonderful year, with all the habitual (but heartfelt) wishes : health for you and your loved ones, enough money to not lack anything

Any reading plans for 2016?

A great many reading plans : I'll try to do the first tier in this goodread group : https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/153078-2016-reading-challenge (And I'd love to do the 24-hours read-athlon in April!)
But I'm not fussed if I don't manage every category : I mostly use the group as a guideline to read widely.
What about you, any specific plan for 2016?

That challenge looks like fun!

I do have a couple: I'd like to read at least 150 books. I want to continue the Writers of Color 50 Book Challenge (http://50books-poc.livejournal.com/) and the Queer Authors 50 Book Challenge (http://queerlit50.livejournal.com/).
I'd like to read and discuss at least one Agatha Christie book with one of the groups on goodreads. I plan on reading some books parallel with my best friend so we can discuss them. First one we picked is a Jane Austen one.
And I'd like to do some rereads: Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and The Neverending Story.

OMG! I could never manage 150 books, kudos to you :) Also, those book coms on LJ look interesting...I think I'll lurk there when looking for new books to add on my TBR-list.

And which Jane Austen did you chose? Pride and Prejudice is in my top 5 books ever, but there are some of her novels I still haven't read.

Is the Neverending Story good? I've never read it but the film is a chilhood favorite.
