Name: Yukimura, Seiichi
Fandom: Prince of Tennis
History link: Yukimura's a fairly minor character, so
unfortunately links only give bare bones!
Canon-wise, Yukimura is from a small family in Kanagawa Prefecture
(most likely around Yokosuka City). He showed early in life that he
had the potential to be a skilled tennis player, and quickly made a
name for himself as one of the top junior players in the Kanto area.
As a freshman in junior high school, he, along with his two best
friends, defeated the entirety of the Rikkaidai Tennis Club, and he
was soon promoted to vice-captain. He helped Rikkaidai win two
national championships and earned the nickname "Child of God" for his
undefeatable skills.
Then all hell broke loose.
In the winter of his third year, Yukimura suddenly collapsed on a
train station platform and found himself paralyzed. He was diagnosed
with Guillain-Barré syndrome and spent several months in the hospital.
Despite his doctor's decree of him never learning to walk again, let
alone play tennis, he elected to undergo a very risky surgery and
survived to appear on the tennis court again. Unfortunately, his grand
arrival was cut down by losing his first official game back to the
series protagonist, Ryoma Echizen. He lost graciously, yet also swore
to return to the court and defeat him.

Canon point: After he loses Nationals and the trophy for Rikkai
Personality:
Yukimura's personality is split into two halves. Outside of
competition, Yukimura goes out of his way to be kind and polite to
everyone, even those he's never gotten along with. His family and
teachers know him as a quiet, confident, sensitive boy who loves
gardening and art, and is superhumanly good at tennis. His friends,
however, see the brunt of his more sadistic side. When it comes to
competiton, he's cold, calculated, and determined to be the best, no
matter what it takes. He is a perfectionist and will not accept
anything less than best efforts, even from his friends and teammates.
He is incredibly stubborn and will not retreat from a goal once he has
set it, does not accept any sort of defeat, and has, in canon, risked
his underclassman's psychological stability for wins. He's
manipulative and charismatic, and even while restricted to a hospital
bed, managed to direct a 100+ member tennis club. He also refuses to
ever, ever admit that he is wrong.
In his three years in Pleasantville, he's grown somewhat frustrated.
Not only was he surrounded with sweets and Stepford Wives, there was
no tennis (a capital offense unto itself.) However, despite his
frustration, he's started to channel it into less destructive ways,
concentrating on exactly what the women mean when they mention Vegas.
He's decided to be optimistic about the move-after all, anything is
better than constant lemonade, tea cakes, and lack of sports. He
considers his more optimistic viewpoint a sign of his still-developing
maturity, and while he still maintains his flaws, he's had time to
think over his past and realize the consequences of his manipulative
actions.
Powers/Abilities: He's really, REALLY good at tennis. Other than
that, nothing!
