You know I think the first one is pretty!

The second one is really pretty, too, and again, it's the same shape that I think is so gorgeous for you. But somehow this second one looks more Christmas-y. I'm not sure what gives that impression; I think maybe it's the broad bands of dark red like gift ribbons while the organic leaves and flowers lace and embroidery on the first dress look more like September to me. I don't know; I might change my mind if I saw it in person.

The Knot has an Alfred Angelo style number 1231 that's along these lines - did you look at that one?

Ooh, I like the 2nd one. I'd probably like the 1st one too, if I could see all of it.

he promised to be good. i just didn't want him to see by accident. but that's good to know.

the rest of the top dress is basically plain, with the same pattern in some places.

thanks for the input. I'm gonna try on some, maybe i can get pics of me...

I like the first one. the embroidery on the second one reminds me of a giant fleur-de-lis or something. but the red is nice.

So far, I like the neckline on the first one better too.

by the way, Meg, I'm gettin' married. In case you hadn't caught on to that. :)

Ummm...isn't that second one almost exactly like Ryan's brother's bride's dress? It's pretty, but are you sure you want a dress so similar to hers?

I don't believe Angie's dress was patterned down the front, just the solid edge, but I can't quite remember.
But, the second one comes in different colors, I don't have to do the red. There's a pretty green as well.
So, far, everyone seems to like the first one better.

If I'm looking at the right thing on the Alfred Angelo website, the "glass green" would look really pretty with your eyes, and more garden-y. (If it's the hunter green, it would still look kind of Christmas-y.) But it's not as much a signature Polly look.
