...The Emancipation of Mimi. SHUDDUP. Mariah's vocal range is a gazillion octaves and she's crazy, which means she's awesome. That said, I regret emancipating $10.81 from my wallet to purchase this CD, it's meh.

Yayayay! Go Mariah! I've never bought one of her albums, but I did see Glitter in the theatre :D!

Listening to Il Trobadour now- excellent.

What's wrong with Aimee Mann? People have all sorts of weird impressions of her. She's a really cool chick, about my age, from my town (Boston), who defies categorization, IMO. And Momentum is a great song- I love those Magnolia songs. "Wise Up" was on my iTunes 5 most played list.

Aimee Mann quote: "I just want to be as good as Cole Porter. That's all."

Summertime! Yes. Dame Kiri. Yes, but usually consume her via Mozart. I have a great tape a friend made me that's all "Summertime" on one side and all "St James Infirmary" on t'other.

Mariah is still trying to repair the damage from Glitter. Will she succeed with EoMM? Probably.

I love Aimee Mann, but she doesn't sing about the cheeriest things. I would like a happy sunshine-y to describe my personality. I love the Magnolia soundtrack too, and the movie itself.

Oh, btw, there's a good ep of Sports Night, S1, called "Eli's Coming," that uses the 3 dog night version and in which Dan talks about the mystery of the song when he was a kid/even now. V effective.
