Ethical rumblings

As I was walking home two nights ago I came upon a bundle of clothes which was, in fact, a man. He was lying on the sidewalk, facing away from me. He did not seem to be homeless, although he was poorly dressed for a winter night. He wore no jacket, hat or mittens; his lying motionless on the sidewalk must have been colder than I can imagine. yikes! I really sympathize with your feeling wary/uneasy. I don't know what else you might have done, except yell ARE YOU OKAY from a safe distance - but that could have provoked him, as you've noted. you didn't forget about him!

re: your worrying that you're really being easy on yourself by suggesting you're being too hard - the dilemma reminds me of a certain girl I used to date, who went around "admitting" that she was a terrible correspondent and effectively excused herself in advance for not keeping in touch. but Sarah, you are much nicer and more aware than she was - and you don't want to be harder on yourself do you? what would that do?

Yes, I know; but I was feeling overly dramtic when I wrote this. (This comes from not leaving the house. Not because I am stuck here, but because I am lazy.)

Finding a picture was suitably difficult, but I got sick of being the androgynous bobble head.

P.S. I actually, really, without a lie and without a doubt am defending my thesis on Friday the 13th. I am getting more than a little panicky.
