Hurray for my husband!!!!

I'm so excited! My hubby Eric just won "Coach of the Year" for girls' soccer for his district!!!!

I'm so proud of him!

He cracks me up because what he's most excited about is that one of his girls won "Offensive Player of the Year." Isn't that something? All he'd say about his own award was "I admit, I'm honored." LOL He's just going on and on

I totally agree. So sad that I didn't realize what a great coach he was until my 5K. But it's been obvious to me for a while that coaching is in his blood. He's so great at it. :)

You should have heard him tell me about the voting for his player. He narrated it like a horse race. "It went down to the wire... was SO close... she tied with one other girl... so there was a revote... and both her coach and I abstained, because you can't vote for your own player anyway... and the final vote was 4-3... and... she won." LOL It was so cute. ;)

I love that too! He's so unselfish. :) I told him I was so excited he'd won Coach of the Year, and he said, "Well, I'm so excited that Katie won." And I said, "Fine, you're allowed. She's your player and all. But I'm going to be excited for you." LOL

Thanks! I'm so excited because this is the first time he's received recognition in the 5 or so years he's been coaching. And I think he richly deserves it!! :)
