It is beautiful in its own way. I think the harshness of its physical environment really fitted the cemetery. It's like the desolation that you feel when you lose a beloved pet.
This post probably appealed to you on account of you owning a beloved dog.
oh, how special. I've never seen a pet cemetery, I can imagine it's pretty striking. If it helps dealing with the lost of a loved pet, good for those people.
In all my wandering around Western Australia this is the only pet cemetery that I've ever uncounted. I didn't know that it existed, I just happened to notice the dog statue as Ray and I were driving along the road. So we did a U turn and went back to take a look.
I was pretty amazed at the amount of dogs buried there, but I guess that quite a lot of dogs die over the span of 40 years even in a little country town.
I think that it is a great concept and it would help dealing with the loss of a beloved dog. You could go back there and lay flowers. And also I guess in a way it could be comforting that your dog isn't alone, that his spirit in frolicking around in the dirt with all his buried companions.

Aint that the truth.
And dogs love you unconditionally, something that humans don't generally do.
