Meme: Fics I'm Working on
To assure you (and me, I guess) that I am writing something, here's a meme:
If you happen to be working on some creative writing project, fanfiction or NaNoWriMo or what have you, post exactly one sentence from each of your current work(s) in progress in your journal. It should probably be your favourite or most intriguing sentence so far, but what you choose is entirely your discretion. Mention the title (and genre) if you like, but don't mention anything else.
(Cheating a bit on a few and posting more than one sentence. Suck it, meme rules. :3 Also, forgive any tense, spelling, or generaly fail-y issues. None of these have been betad beyond a once-over or two.)

"He'd lost many best friends over the years, each time feeling a piece of his soul being ripped out of his hands--his nails, knowing he wouldn't win, dug in every time, trying to leave some sort of brand, some sort of evidence that he was there, that it was once his, if just for a while."

AND THAT'S IT. :D Most of these will never ever ever see the light of day, and it saddens me, because I loved all of these once. Oh well. There's one specific one I'm working on now, though. Hopefully that will be up soon. :3
