-A while back I ordered some sourdough starter online.  I got the idea when I stumbled upon a website where this guy raved about sourdough pancakes.  The recipe looked really easy--assuming, of course, that you have sourdough starter.  But I found a source where you can mail-order it for free.  I figured

First it starts with the sourdough starter. Then you start pickeling your own pickels, and finally beg someone to lend you a kombucha mushroom and start fermenting kombucha under your bed. Then you stop shaving and wearing deoderant, you wear your hair in dreds, go everywhere barefoot and march in protest when someone tries to chop down a tree in their front yard. Before you know it, you'll be dumpster diving in the name of sustainable living and refusing to eat anything that isn't "raw". Please, Abby, in the name of all things sacred, stop before it's too late! Reverse your course along the wretched path to full-fledged hippydome!
