You could fill it up with different substances periodically, or get in guest artists to fill it up with something else. Or you could drill a tiny hole near the bottom and put water in it so it leaks out miniscule amounts at a time, and call it a kinetic sculpture.
I love installation art. especially when it is thus as a last resort
