This was a wonderful piece as always. I feel relieved to see that there are serious people looking at this story as it is and not as we think it should have been. Culturally speaking, I have difficulty grasping the idea that comradship of the soul necessarily should be accompanied by sexual relationship. I recently watched a Japanese movie, To Each, His Own". People call it bromance. People were there to watch BL or Gay but were surprised by a male-male friendship. It's a simple but very heartwarming movie that I think should be recommended to everyone to watch. I think a lot of things you mentioned here is demonstrated in there. If you watched it and enjoy it, would love to hear your thoughts on it.

Thanks for the post again.

Thanks for your reply. I don't know "To Each, His Own," but now I want to see it. I'm getting a small list of some good recs to check out, which is exciting! Thanks.
