The worst part is figuring out the social norms to go along with the words.

I'm okay with culture itself but figuring out in which situations people use which words is rough. For instance there's a Japanese word that corresponds in the dictionary to the English 'shy,' but no one uses it, they use 'hitomishiri suru' instead in most situations where we'd use 'shy'. And there are tons of those and the only way to really figure context out is by living it, which takes forever ://///
