Candidates against Same-sex marriage

A bipartisan NGO called "Vote Marriage, Canada" has published a list on their website of the names of candidates running in this election that would uphold the "traditional definition of marriage" and seek to reverse same-sex marriage legislation.

its funny that even though paul martin won't allow his members to vote against the bill, vote marriage still endorses some liberal candidates.

it also seems interesting that even though most conservative candidates in quebec are pro-SSM, this group seems to support alot of bloc candidates. seems SSM is more important than national unity.

therefore i will dismiss this group like i do all independant groups that care only about one issue over all others.

The founder of vote marriage is Pat O'Brien, a former Liberal MP who was kicked out of the party for voting against SSM. I'm sure the endorsed liberals are opposed to it as well, and in a conservative majority, where a free vote would likely be proposed, would vote against SSM.

I agree completely, however, their 'endorsed candidate' list deserves to be publicized as it serves as a good indication for how those individuals would vote on the issue in a free-vote scenario.
