LOOK, I am actually getting to read a post the day it is posted! Amazing (at least I am amazed!) That was a great article and what an appropriate use for what looked to be only a nuisance or potential disaster toy. I can imagine Meg's reaction to seeing (hearing) them in use legitimately for the first time. I think "duck and cover" would be about it. But I am equally sure she would adapt quickly and see their potential value. I wonder if they will use them in Texas?
Yes, Meg has a pretty bad moment the first time she hears it. When that kind of fear is in your gut, it's hard to throw it off.
They were using them in TX initially but I'm not sure if they are now. Once the helicopter are in the air, they're a danger to them, but they may still be using them in designated areas. They'd certainly be faster than moving by boat and can search the same external features.
