Should we have longer than a month to meet challenges?

How do people feel about going longer between writing challenges?

I know that I've missed more than one challenge completely because I couldn't get something finished within the month-long time limit, and several other labyficcers have just posted responses late and felt guilty/awkward about it...

How about two months? Six weeks?

Thoughts?
