Ali had been intending to visit him this very day, though she had been delayed and almost dissuaded thanks to a certain unfortunate encounter. Her good mood had been quite covered over afterward, and it took her some little while to try and uncover it again. She wasn't entirely successful, but something (she hoped) was better than nothing.
Once she was as ready as she'd ever be, it wasn't long until she stepped once again into the Labyrinth.

When he felt her arrive, he schooled himself carefully to avoid showing too much eagerness before shifting, flexing the Labyrinth around himself to appear near her, lounging against a pillar that seemed perfectly proportioned to flatter him (would he do that?). "Welcome back, my dear," he purrs, letting her see and appreciate him in all his glory. "You've been away far too long."
