Wait...TW aired here last Friday -- the U.S. isn't getting it before you guys, is it? That'd just be wrong... :/

Wow, I think I agree completely with your review (except that I hate Rhys, and always have. He actually makes me slightly appreciate what Moffat is trying to do with Rory on DW).

Waaaaaay too much exposition for a first ep. I don't know if they thought they were getting this giant influx of new viewers or what, but it just didn't need it. :x

I also sometimes wake up with heart pounding and the panic;I find it helps when I tell myself something like 'it's fine, you're safe, everything is ok, you're safe' It's the sort of things I'd say to soothe a child I suppose but it really does help, I just repeat the words till the panic subsides. CBT is suppossed to be very good; perhaps when you are dealing with some other stuff the panic will retreat. I had 18 months of counselling some years ago and felt much better (if a lot poorer) for it.

I tried it this morning and it did help, thanks. It's such an unspecified panic that I find it really disturbing, when I get panicy during the day I can usually talk myself out of it and do some breathing techniques. Working days has also been a big help, I think when I was so permanently exhausted I didn't have any reserves to fight it. The few sessions I've had so far have been helpful if mentally very tiring, to start with they made the anxiety much worse, but I think that was to be expected. She's on holiday at the moment and hopefully we'll start on the CBT when she's back.
