I'm normally a big supporter of military action - not just against iraq but in general. Good, old-fashioned imperialism does not bother me in the least. However, this is a bit too much.

I certainly agree that they've gone much too far with this. Then again, what do you expect from Powell and his boss GW, considering that much of powell's speech operated on assumptions and half-proved theories? Bah.

Well, the problem at hand is justifying imperialism to a country of PTA moms and malcontent college students. Usually they attempt to use retribution/pre-emptive strike against those who may harm them down the road somewhere. Everybody knows, though, that they're simply after the oil supplies, and I wish this would be stated more openly.
I've nothing against invading other countries and plundering the lot of them. But I'd rather see it done by people whom I wouldn't feel, well, thoughly ashamed for! (that being the current administration of the US of A..) I mean, come on..even clinton had more wits about him than that half-rotted vegetable we've got in the office noawdays.
