Someone spoke of "love", and it made me smile a bit ( Read more... )

You do need a hobby. Maybe it should be mating with some girl? Since you seem kinda fond of the subject...

I'm rather disgusted by it, actually. It seems incredibly dirty and time-consuming.

I don't think it has to be time consuming. My brother's friend Buddy said something about thirty seconds or under...but he could've been talking about something else!!

And it is sweaty-dirty, but that's what a shower is for, silly! :p

I was approached by a woman on the street who told me she could "go for hours". Another said something similar. I ran away from them quickly. Do some take mere seconds, as you say?

I suppose, but it seems so tedious.

... do you really think love is all that bad?

I think if you're not in it to satiate some kind of insecurity issue or to shoot out infants, it's more or less an unnecessary stress.

But there's so much more to it than that, isn't there? Sure, procreation is one of the results, but... I thought it was supposed to be about caring for someone else more than you care about yourself. That's the nature of family love and non-romantic love, it should be the same all around, shouldn't it?

You don't think it would be nice to have someone care about you like that? Don't you ever get lonely?

Lonely? Why, no.

I dislike the idea of risking emotions on someone who could very well betray me, or end up the victim of some terrible trauma. I do not wish to love and find that I've been fooled. I do not wish to love and hear the news that my significant other was killed. Why on earth would I invite a risk like that? Why not simply avoid the situation entirely? I watch the news and see it every day. "She was just driving home, and... " or "She went out to the store, and this guy just went insane. Pulled out a gun... "

This world is too dangerous for love.

Love..a disease?? Is it really Kadaj!?

My friend said love is when you think about someone a lot. So that means I love you brother!!

I LOVE YOU AND YAZOO! AM I GOING TO PERISH!?

Don't worry Loz, Kadaj is just being weird. Love isn't a disease. Its a good thing! So you're not going to perish, no sir!

I do hope not. I would be sad if love was the reason for my untimely demise. Very unfortunate!

Love won't be the cause of your demise, Loz. I promise!

This is by far the worst explanation on emotions I've heard in my life. If I wanted to hear something like this, I would have tuned into Coast to Coast AM during open lines.

I bet you're a virgin. And you've never been kissed, either. That's cute.

I like it. I don't really care if you don't.

You're right. I've never mated. Never been kissed. Your words... they sting. Please. No more.

Then what do you call the bond between your family?

I call it the way we were created. We're spirits. Manifestations. I doubt it's "love". It's simply a necessity that we stay close to each other, and ensure the others' safety.
