It was what most would call a normal day, although Jules found it a bit abnormal, really, since for him a normal day involved keeping certain blondes from murder and/or suicide. Today, however, Jules has actually had time to make tea, pick out a book, and stretch out on a couch without any drama happening. It was... rather disturbing, actually. He ( Read more... )

Arion was storming the hallways, looking rather irritated. He couldn't find his office; the first time he opened a door that he thought was his office, he found a boy that looked strangely like Gilbert making out with some gypsie kid. He therefore concluded that that was not his office, and that he should look further.

His search was fruitless to say the least, so he did the most logical thing an Arion should do; he barged into Jules' room and rant.

He violently opened the door (since when did the door knob get that high, though?) and, instead of seeing his best friend, he saw this weird man that looked like his best friend reading a book in his room. Arion wouldn't stand for this! So, he wasted no time in stomping his foot and glaring at him.

"Who are you and what did you do to Jules!?"

Jules ignored the stomping outside his door; it was probably a random NPC doing something stupid (but not life-threatening, so it wasn't Jules' problem). He was, however, a bit bothered when someone stormed into his room unannounced and started screaming at him.

This someone, happened to be tiny and pretty and vaguely endearing in a way that Jules couldn't quite place, however, so he decided to humor him for now. It was probably just someone's lost, obnoxious cousin, in any case.

"I'm Jules de Ferrier, if that's who you're looking for," he said, leaning forward a bit to get on the intruder's level and resisting the urge to come up with some cutesy nickname like his mother would. "Do you need something?"

Arion scowled at him. He felt like this man was treating him like a little kid, and that infuriated him. He didn't like how he had to look up at him while they talked though. It made him feel small (it was true though, and that infuriated him more).

Then, he mentioned his name. Arion made a face. A snarky, disbelieving face. "You can't be Jules. Jules looks like you, except with shorter hair. He's around my age and height. Now where is he?"

"Hmm? Sorry, I'm the only Jules de Ferrier I know." Something about this boy's mannerisms was definitely extremely familiar to Jules... ah, of course, he seemed a lot like Rosemariné had been when they were younger. Just how many effeminate blonde relatives did Auguste Beau have?

Well, if this child was related to the family, it was a good idea for Jules to look out for him. Besides being wickedly adorable, it would also help him to get on the good side of the right people. (...unless he was as well-liked as Gilbert; then there would be a problem.)

Well, he was certainly adorable at least.

"How about this: we can sit down and have some tea, and I'll help you figure out how to find who you're looking for. What's your name?"
