There was a new kid standing in the end of the hallway. He looked outside of the window to courtyard where the other kids run in a hurry completing their morning activities. It had long ago become second-nature for Rosemariné to patrol the hallways when he had even a moment without classes. His duties didn't stretch so far, really, but somebody had to keep the Lacomblade in order, and the older he got the more clear it became that the teachers would rather place the duty on the students to keep each other in line. That suited him just fine, though, he thought with what one might call a smirk.

That said, the halls were quite empty this morning -- quite possibly because Rosemariné's switch was more painful than even the slowest Latin class -- save for a single boy with a foolishly distant look on his face. Rosemariné approached him from behind, already contemplating what sort of excuses the boy might try to make, and firmly tapped his staff against the wall.

The boy had noticed noticed the presence but still found the gathering clouds far more interesting than the another boy behind him, and perhaps if he just ignored him then he would just go away like everyone else?

In his mind the new boy could hear his partner's scolding voice if he didn't behave himself or get in a trouble because of his well... arrogant attitude. So slowly, after hesitating for a while, he turned his head and looked over his shoulder and take a good look at the other boy.

"And why aren't you in class?" Rosemariné asked, not caring that the boy clearly didn't want to listen to him. He simply didn't understand the student hierarchy here... but he would quickly learn, with that sort of a careless attitude.
