Let's Play Two!

So, my company participates in the Gwinnett Corporate Challenge thing every year, where companies around the county field teams and compete in various events -- volleyball, 5K run, and -- as luck would have it -- softball. Softball is, of course, my forte. I can play a little ball. Anyways, I hadn't participated in past years, because I heard it ( Read more... )

Awesome! It sounds like you owned those chumps. Very nice.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that you reign victorious in the days to come and that your mad softball skillz win you the admiration of both your teammates and any hotties who might be watching from the stands.

Thanks!

Though, I doubt that my softball prowess is going to garner the affection of anyone watching.

Have you demanded your old position and to bat #3 yet?

He batted me #3 in the second game on his own. He knows what's good for the goose is good for the gander.

I am not a demanding player. Bottom line, I want to win ballgames and I'll do whatever it takes to help make that happen.

Did you type that last line as a joke, so you could sound like Willis McGahee on every interview he does on TV, right before he goes back behind the scenes and says "I ain't no back up. I want to be starting now."

No joke.

I'm gonna be honest, I have not seen the softball team that couldn't find *somewhere* for me to play. Does that mean I'm a selfish egomaniac on the diamond? No.

I hope that none of your games get rained out. I will go outside and do a apecial anti-rain dance for you. :)

Oh, do you like Maroon 5? Because, if so, then you're like the only person on my friends list who does... or at least the only one who doesn't make fun of them at every opportunity. Personally, I like them. And I think their CD is great... except that mine was taken when some of my CDs were stolen from my classroom. I haven't replaced it yet. Anyway, sorry for that side note there. :)

I hope none of them get rained out, either. I have two of them again tonight. I was just outside and it's windy and threatening. I'll be uber-pissed if they get rained-out. Thank you for the dance.

I do like Maroon 5. My roommate turned me onto them about a year before they hit the radio -- his gf at the time worked for BMG and got their album, so he copied it for me. Then, we went to a concert at the Cotton Club.

I'm OG M5!!

That sucks that yours was stolen. Would you like for me to make you another copy?

I'm looking out my bedroom window and it looks windy and threatening.

It's good to know that there's someone on my side when it comes to the Maroon 5 debate.

I appreciate the offer to make me a copy... I'll let you know.

Apparently, someone is not dancing enough!

Ain't it good to know that... you've got a friend...

Yeah, just let me know and I'll burn it up for you, then. Then I don't know what I'll do. I suppose I'd just await instructions.
