My parents say I was almost kidnapped when we lived in Guadalajara, Mexico -- but I'm not sure I believe them.

I got my first marriage proposal at the age of 12. The guy was 17, from Mauritania (where my Dad is from) and drove a Jeep at the time. Why I remember that small detail, I don't know. Ha!
I got my second marriage proposal when I was 14, from another Mauritanian. This guy worked for the prince of Brunei and offered me a house, a car, and other worldly things.
My third proposal was from a guy my own age, in Senegal, last summer. I think he is related to me somehow, although I've never even met him. His mother wrote letters to my parents asking for my hand in marriage and one of the things she said was "I promised your daughter to my son a while ago now, but I couldn't let you know because I didn't have your address".
It's a fucking joke, I swear.

OMFG, for real? ahhh, thats crazy! Umm, how about you get to decide if or when you marry. Atleast your parents know whats up right?
"I promised your daughter to my son a while ago now"
that is horrible!

My parents are cool. It really made me realise how truly open-minded my dad is after seeing where he came from. He's all like "Marry who you want, when you want, where you want. You don't need anybody's approval, it's your life and it's up to you to live it the way you want." I ♥ my Daddy.
He doesn't agree with the way they do things there, but he still supports ALL of his family (5 sisters, 1 brother and over 20 kids) financially.

I'm Opal and I like Rosie, and I look rosy too.
I sing folk music (and am sometimes dependant on it for living)
I give good hugs.
I'm addicted to raw tuna. (seriously, I even prefer it over chocolate)
I get sad sometimes and think mean things about myself, but they're not true.
I'm 5ft 4'' and 170lbs. It's a new weight and I'm still "getting to know it".
Spending money makes me really happy. Sadly,I don't get to do it often.
I have a good bum for humping.

I like to play video games. And mom told me when she was in Malaysia (during Vietnam war era), she and her friends played the "Asian" version of the ouji board... they called out to spirits and it spelled out a name. one of her friends talked to the "spirit"... she got sick couple days later, went crazy, and died two weeks later.

she told me to never play that game EVER.

It's not about me... but hey, it was interesting. ^^

I have an addiction to hairdye and when I have a job (or am looking for one) where I can't dye my hair weird colors, I go crazy. The idea of dying my hair occupies my mind and every time I see a shirt, car, or a sunset, I think "dammit, I want my hair that color!"

and I really really like brussels sprouts.

haha, so what color is it now? I really want to go pink, but i dont know if I really would, or red. I tried to go blonde once but it ended up orange, not coool.

It was blonde when you asked, it's a very vibrant slightly pinkish red right now.

If your hair's really dark, it might take a few tries to get it blonde. Multiple bleachings, hooray! :p
