Last night after swimming, my experience in the changing rooms (ooerr etc) inspired me to do another POLL. Well, inspired=gave me an excuse. Y'know ( Read more... )

It sort of depends on the size of the cubicles. If they're tiny then I'd probably use the communal area. I'm not tiny.

As for the friends issue, I have a few friends who don't care either way, I have one who hates to see nudity and I have one who always covers herself. Depending on with which one I might be my behaviour would change slightly.

I don't have a problem with being nude, so long as I think no one will be offended by me.

Medium-level brazenness - I try to show off as little as possible without giving away that I'm trying to show as little as possible :-)

And it's largely for the benefit of those around me rather than my own benefit; I'm comfortable being naked around lots of people at play parties, for instance.

I've never liked my body and was brought up to think I was fat even when I was a size 6-8. My mum would always buy me stuff in like...a size 20 (when a size 20 was a size 20 and not a 16 as it seems to be today!) when I was a size 10-12 (her perception of my size in comparison to my sister). My sister's nick for me was Fat Beast which I lived with from when I was about 10 until I was old enough to leave home. My mum has never been overweight and was skinny all her younger years, my sister is painfully underweight but will not eat. 5'4" and only 7-7.5 stone. Skeletal ( ... )

I've always found communal changing rooms awkward really. I don't let it stop me from doing the things I want to do (although I haven't gone swimming for a long time anyway) but it is something I'm not keen on.

Definitely minimising self-exposure where ever possible :oP
