One of the many things, maybe the most important thing, that is wrong with America is the inequality. I drove down King Rd., in Roswell, today. I wish I had of taken a picture of it before, because the little house is gone now. There is a huge estate, or rather a "chateau", on that road. There used to be a 1950's style small house next door. It was bought up for a development in that area, another million each house, right next to each other, gated, etc...

The previous owner of the mega chateau used to have a sign out (so folks wouldn't call the watering ban police on them again) informing "irrigation and watering from well." Sort of a "fuck you neighbor, it's legal , I'm having a lush six acre lawn." Bet the small homes well went dry.

Actually that was tuberculosis that people called "consumption." But that might actually be more appropriate, as it was the disease that killed from the inside but left one pretty on the outside (for the standards of the time). Except for the easily hidden bloody handkerchief, it was one of the prettier, more romantic ways to die (from an observer's standpoint, I suppose).

Ah, a death that is pretty on the outside; yes I think that describes what America is experiencing right now, but it'll probably get ugly soon. It won't be able to hide that bloody kerchief very much longer.
