Hello LJ World!
I havent written in here in a hop and skip minute! Well, I have been busy trying to finish work last minute... so I am usually a huge mess when that time comes. Running around like a headless chicken and neglecting other things/people...
'06 !!!I AM A BIG BAD SENIOR!!! '06
Well, I didnt get the CVS internship. Not too surprised because I have never worked in merchandising. And I am sure many of the other candidates have dealt with the inflexible hours of corporate America. So whatever, I dont care. The opportunity to have been interviewed was cool and I learned about what I should say and act next time around when a job really counts and reality hits me in the head like a big brick!
BUT! This summer I got hired to work at the
Providence Center. Full time paid internship working alongside a therapist to motivate adolescents who have depression, bipolar, substance abuse problems... oooooh, I so want to meet a schizophrenic (yea I get excited about these things). So basically I have to be my hyper self around them to remind them, hey life is awesome people, let's get better! ;) So, very thankful for my cousin, Ircania who gave a good word at Human Resources. I had sent them my resume a long time ago, early this year and they slacked on contacting me... but yay! I have a job now that may end up depressing me but I am going to try to have a balanced schedule with spiritual/physical stuff so I won't get overwhelmed. :) This job in particular will remind me of how awful this system of things is and that Jehovah never wanted us to live like this... brings Paradise to a whole new level man.
I am going to New Haven, CT this weekend with Iony. She missed the two day asamblea in Natick, MA. So we are gonna stay with Carmen and Merwin and go with them to Newburg, NY. I have never been there, it's gonna be awesome to get out my house!! Plus of course, hearing the information which was overly awesome will put it more deeper to my heart and mind. :) And we wanna be helpful around Carmen's like cook or something... YAY!! I may not see Drew though... he is gonna play bball in D.C. this weekend. He is gonna go Friday morning and come back Sunday afternoon. I am taking the bus at 7:35 PM back to Prov. If I end up seeing him it will be like for 2 hours! Hey, it's better than nothing. Aww... drewy!! :)
Then the following weekend, I can finally meet some part of his element!! I am going on the 28th of May to New Haven with Carmen and Merwin with Iony and Yasmin. Cause the 29th they have a surprise baby shower for her which is supposedly a talent show to her knowledge! OOOH! cool! And then on Monday, hopefully I get to visit Waterbury in the morning or something and then later on go back to PTOWN. Hopefully, Carlos does come for the 29th so he can be my ride back to Prov. Tee Hee ... :) If my parents won't let me go there driving myself, I ma find other ways... hahahaaa! But essentially, I didn't ask for permission this weekend or next. I just tell em the plans. When I asked permission last time, they became all hesitant about the giving me a yes or no. It has always been that way. So when I go, look this is A ... B... & C. They have no choice to let me... I figured it out!!!!
OH and PBS!!! AWWWW... PBS. I sooo wanna get my crazy self in there! I met this lady yesterday who is incredibly awesome who is the Program Director of Educational Programming. And she was telling me a lot of the projects that I could participate in for next Fall. So, one of them is researching the history cause right now the site has a sucky
history segment. I would interview the founders who are wicked old. Take pictures of the old machinery and how it has evolved, now they in the process of getting everything HD... design the layout of it for the site (or relay it to the webmaster) and also make a brochure to distribute! HOLLA! I will get credit for next semester if I take this on, so I wont have to sit for two classes bored out of my mind! YAY!
Yea, I guess that is all for now... I am excited with everything. I started a new Bible Study last Saturday. She is Iony's coworker. It was all in English. She had an English brochure and I was using my Spanish, What does God Require Of Us? It was the first time I gave a study fully in English. I plan on just giving it to her until I can find someone reliable from the English congregation. I don't know many from there but one brother who I always see preaching who I can possibly ask for good recommendations... :)
YAY ... good times.
