Hey all!
It's been a while since I posted so let me get on to business! Well, this weekend full of the same things but hey glad to be alive and feeling better weather. Awww your moms is just going thru a "stage" ... they mostly do that when they see that the other potential - could be "it" lol .. I'm sorry your feeling upset and all.. but, give her time..that's the best thing I can tell you... The more she gets to know him - the better it will be...

I hope the dance goes well chick... I'm sure it will & I like the pants =D

Aight - I have to go - they have a surprise baby shower in 2 mins for a co-worker & I need to get me something to eat & get my nails done ...hehe cuidate nena!!!

I know she will come around when she gets to know him. The whole language thing is insignificant. She understands english and can speak it. I saw her laughing it up with cousin Mika... so I dont even wanna hear it. Plus my dad knows bastante ingles. Something Yasmin told me that made sense was that as Jehovah's Witnesses, we dont have language/culture barriers. We all Christians. As people, we all need the same things, to be respected and feel equal... that is all.

Hehe it seems ur mom is looking for an excuse to not like him hahaha is kinda cute actually - ... I'm sure every guy you bring as a potential "something" the mom most likely will find something she don't agree with ...so is only until she gets used to the idea =D

after reading this post reminded me of my own situation i had with my mom & jesse. she gave me a HARD time for dating him. and one issue that she wasn't crazy about was the fact that he was dominican, in her own words "vas a dañar la familia" <--ouch. but throughout the drama we had, "se la gano" trust me jesse demonstrated a lot of patience with everything my mom put us through, and not just any guy would do that; i was surprised to see that he still stuck around. girl cuz we got stories! =p ( ... )

=0 wow! thanks so much for your reply... i dont mind it being long at all. thanks! I originally thought my mom had a problem with his skin color... but I was like UH I have like three uncles waaaay darker than Drew. I had no idea that language/culture would be such a huge deal considering I have lived in the States all my life. And I have two cousins on her side that married Europeans... (yea but they know Spanish and Drew doesn't <---- he soo neeeds to get on that ( ... )
