Took a walk with my new macro lens today...here's a postcard from my neighborhood - it reads on the other side "Hi! It is raining. Wish you were here!"

I wish my neighborhood looked like that... last week I was outside in a t-shirt, this morning I woke up to a dusting of the white stuff on the ground!

Thanks, Sara! The DOF is definitely what I wanted when going for the 100mm. I have an 85mm but it is just not able to focus close enough.

I am surprised all the flowers have lasted since we have been having snow, too, and freezes. Today though was a grey 60 degrees. The warmth was a nice change :)

I love that you didn't get rid of the dandelion seed heads in this photo. And the depth of field, and the mailbox..and well, everything. :)

This image is straight out of the camera. I did not see any reason to edit it. There is the sprinkler head in there, too, but this is my neighborhood and we have sprinklers, dandelions, cars, yellow curbs...:))
