"Yama-chan, are you okay?" Ryutaro asked when he entered the classroom. When Yamada didn't answer him, Ryutaro turned to the person beside him. "What do we do now?" he asked to Daiki in a low voice. The older teen shrugged. Yamada's head once on the table, using his hands as pillows. This made Ryutaro worried. Ryutaro had found his best friend in this condition for a few days now.
"I know one thing we could do though," Daiki motioned his head towards the door. Ryutaro turned to that direction. Takaki just passed by the classroom. His face brightened.
"Of course!" he said. Daiki smiled, following Ryutaro, who was running towards Takaki, from behind. "Takaki-kun!" Ryutaro called out.
"Calm down, Ryutaro," Takaki said. Ryutaro panted, catching his breath while Takaki looked at Daiki questioningly.
Ryutaro shook his head. "Takaki-kun, you have to follow me."
"But I need to see Izuki-sensei," replied Takaki.
"Never mind about that," Ryutaro retorted. "You have to follow me now!" Although it seemed impossible, but Ryutaro began dragging Takaki into his classroom.
"Daiki, control your boyfriend!" Daiki just raised his hands at Takaki. After all, he has no say in this matter.
"Takaki-kun, you have to talk to Yama-chan," Ryutaro said as he stopped walking.
"Eh?" Takaki looked at Ryutaro. "Is there something wrong with Ryo-chan?" Ryutaro motioned towards Yamada, and Takaki followed the younger teen's gaze. Yamada was now sitting straight in his seat, staring blankly at his palms on the table. Ryutaro needn't have to say anything more. Takaki walked towards his lover.
Daiki slipped his hand around Ryutaro's waist. "I think this is our cue to go," he whispered in Ryutaro's ear." Ryutaro nodded and they left the scene.
-------------------------------------------------
'How am I going to tell them? Tell him,' Yamada thought. He was lost deeply in his thought, he didn't even hear the footsteps coming his way. Yamada was startled when a sudden warmth embraced him. A pair of hands wrapped itself around his shoulder.
"Ohayou," a voice whispered in his ear.
Yamada smiled. 'Yuuyan,' he thought. Yamada placed his hands on top of Takaki's. "What are you doing here?"
"I heard from a reliable source that something's wrong with you."
Yamada turned to face Takaki, surprised. "Something's wrong with me? What do you mean?" 'Does he know?' Yamada thought.
Takaki shrugged. "He said you seemed moody everyday before class starts, and it had been like that for a few days now." Takaki paused. "Could it be that.... You missed me too much?" Yamada chuckled at Takaki's joke. Takaki faked a pout. "What? You don't miss me?"
Yamada shook his head, smiling. "It's not that," he said. "Of course I miss you. I miss you a lot."
Takaki knelt on his knees, in front of Yamada, so that he's the same height as the younger teen. He took Yamada's hand in his. "Then tell me," he looked straight in Yamada's eyes. "Is there something wrong?"
Yamada felt a lump forming in his throat. He blinked away the tears forming in his eyes. "Nothing is wrong," he put up a smile. "I promise." It took all Yamada had to prevent his voice from cracking.
"That's good," said Takaki. He rested his head on Yamada's lap, causing Yamada to blush. "You can come to me anytime, you know that right?" Yamada nodded his head.
----------------------------------------------------
"I'm sorry I can't walk home with you today, Ryo-chan," Takaki apologized.
Yamada shook his head. "It's okay," he said. "This is something unavoidable."
Takaki pulled Yamada closer to him, giving his lover a kiss on the forehead. "Walk home safely, okay?"
Yamada smiled, "Okay."
Takaki kissed Yamada on the tip of his nose. "Call me if you need me, okay?" When Yamada was about to answer, Takaki added in, "Wait, scratch that. Call me anytime, even if you don't need me."
Yamada laughed. "I will."
Takaki kissed Yamada's lips. This time, it lasted longer than the other two kisses. "I love you."
Yamada wrapped his hands around Takaki's neck. "I love you too, Yuuyan."
After Yamada left, two people entered the classroom. "We never thought you're such a romantic person, Takaki," Daiki teased.
Takaki scowled. "What are you two doing here anyway?"
Ryutaro plopped himself on the table. "We just wanted to know... Did you know what's wrong?"
"Sadly no," said Takaki. "As usual, he denied it." Takaki sighed. "You know how Ryo-chan is. He won't tell anyone if he's sad so that people won't worry about him."
"Then you are no use after all."
Takaki glared at Ryutaro. "Ryutaro, did you woke up as a brattier person today?"
Ryutaro stuck his tongue out at Takaki. "Oh, so mature."
Daiki sighed. He could feel an argument coming. "Now, now, let's all act us adults here."
"Shut up, shorty."
Daiki narrowed his eyes. Ryutaro saw red. He saw Daiki's rage building up. "What did you say, Bakaki?"
Before Takaki could retort, Ryutaro immediately interfered, "Dai-chan, I want to buy some pocky. Let's go." He immediately dragged Daiki outside the classroom after saying a quick goodbye to Takaki.
Takaki sighed, sitting again. "What shall I do with Ryo-chan?" Suddenly, an idea came to his mind. "If you don't know what happened to him, all you can do is cheer him up."
----------------------------------------------
"Tadaima," Yamada said as he walked into the house. He closedthe door behind him. Boxes were everywhere and so were plastic wrappers.
"Okaeri, Ryosuke," his mother said, appearing from the kitchen. "Have you done packing?" asked his mother.
Yamada shook his head. "A little bit more."
"When you're done with yours, help me with the furnitures, okay? We're moving tomorrow morning after all."
Yamada sighed. "I know, okaa-san." He went to his room, slumping onto his bed. His hands spread on his bed, his cell phone beside him. He lay on his right side, staring at his cell phone. He remembered what Takaki told him earlier. He took his cell phone, hugging it near his chest. "Oh, Yuuyan."
----------------------------------------------
Takaki rang the doorbell to Yabu's house. "Come on, open the door." He continued ringing the doorbell impatiently.
After a few moments, finally an annoyed voice was heard from inside the house. "Alright, alright, I'm coming." The door opened, revealing Yabu in his pajamas.
"For heaven's sake, Yabu, I know you've graduated but it's already evening. Why are you still in bed?"
Yabu glared daggers at Takaki. "For your information, I was up all night last night-..."
Takaki made weird noises, saying, "Too much information."
"Not that, you baka!" yelled Yabu. "I was up all night working on my software."
Takaki arrowed his eyes, a smirk playing on his lips. "Right."
Yabu rolled his eyes. "So, what brings you here?"
"Aren't you going to invite me in first?"
The older teen sighed. "Come on in."
Takaki smiled, stepping into the household. Both Yabu's parents were at work so only Yabu was at home.
"So, what's up?" Yabu asked.
"I want to do something to cheer Ryo-chan up."
Yabu raised an eyebrow. "And?"
"I've got everything planned out. I just don't know where to get it."
"Mind telling me about it?" Yabu asked. Takaki scooted next to Yabu and whispered his plan into Yabu's ear. After Takaki was done telling him about it, Yabu snapped his finger. "I know where to get it."
Takaki grinned. "I know you would."
"Now let's go," said Yabu, standing up.
"Uh, don't you want to take your bath first?" Takaki held back his laughter.
"Oh, shut up!" Yabu muttered.
---------------------------------------------------
"Whoa~" Takaki said, amazed at the size of the mansion in front of him. "He's so rich."
"Of course," Yabu replied. "He's father is one of the richest men in Japan."
Takaki looked questioningly at Yabu. "How did you know this Okamoto Keito?"
"He was in my class," Yabu stated. Takaki raised his eyebrow at Yabu. "His a boy genius, skipped a few grades. He had designed a few softwares of his own, and is being used widely around the world." That elaboration just left Takaki speechless.
The gate immediately opened after Yabu pressed the bell. After they arrived in front of the mansion's door, the door opened, ravealing a butler. "Master Keito is waiting for you in the living room."
"Thank you, Mishou-san," Yabu said. He walked in, followed by Takaki. The latter looked around the mansion curiously.
"How did you know your way around?" Takaki asked in a low voice. "I've been here before," Yabu whispered back.
Keito looked up at them when they both arrived to the living room. "Ah, Yabu-kun, you've arrived," said Keito, putting down his tea. "Please have a seat."
"Thank you," Yabu said as he and Takaki sat the opposite side of Keito.
"I've prepared what you wanted," said Keito.
"Thank you again for this favour, Okamoto-kun," Yabu said. At the same time, Takaki asked, "How'd you know what we wanted?"
"I'm psychic," Keito said with a stoic expression. However, Takaki missed the glint of amusement in Keito's eyes.
"Are you serious?!"
"Of course not, Takaki-kun," replied Keito. "Yabu-kun had informed me earlier."
"Oh."
Yabu was about to stood up, saying, "Thank you for today," when Takaki asked, "How do we use it?"
"By magic," came Keito's monotone answer.
"No, seriously," Takaki said.
"I was being serious." Takaki looked at Keito wide eyes. Then, Keito and Yabu burst out laughing.
"You do realized he was just playing with you?"
"Oh, I knew that," Takaki lied.
-------------------------------------------------
'I can't tell them,' Yamada thought, looking at the phone in his hand. He fell asleep with the phone hugged to his chest.
Yamada didn't know what time it was, but he was sure it was around midnight. Yamada woke up to the sound of tapping at his window. He was surprised to see who it was.
"Ryo-chan," the voice called him when he opened his bedroom window.
"Yuuyan, what are you doing here so late at night?"
"There's something I want to show you," Takaki smiled widely. "Come on down. "
'Does he know?' Yamada thought as he walked out the house after changing into his sweater and pants. When Yamada met with Takaki, the older teen was looking at him goofily. "What's going on?" Yamada asked.
Takaki didn't say anything. Instead, he just held out a blindfold at Yamada. "What's this?" Takaki walked behind Yamada. "It's a surprise." Yamada just surpressed a sigh as Takaki tight the blindfold around his eyes.
They went to their destination on Takaki's scooter. Yamada had wrap his hands around Takaki's waist so that he wouldn't fall. He rested his head on Takaki's back. 'I'm going to miss Yuuyan's warmth,' Yamada tightened hold on Takaki. "I love you, Yuuyan."
Takaki smiled. "I love you too."
About 15 minutes, they arrived to their destination. They walked for a few meters before Takaki removed Yamada's blindfold. Yamada gasped at the scenery. The big sakura tree was being moonbathed under the big shining moon. The lake glitters under the moon's light.
"Yuuyan, this place is beautiful," whispered Yamada.
"It is, ne?" wrapping his hands around Yamada's waist from behind, resting his head on Yamada's shoulder. "But the best is yet to come."
"Huh?" Yamada was confused. About a few seconds later, fireworks exploded in the sky. But unlike any ordinary fireworks, the first fireworks created a big heat in the night sky, and the second one says, 'I love you, Ryosuke'. Yamada had tears in his eyes when he saw it.
Takaki nuzzled at the crook of Yamada's neck. "Ryo-chan, I love you."
Yamada turned so that he's face-to-face with Takaki, still in Takaki's embrace. "Yuuyan, why?"
Takaki cupped Yamada's face. "Because I can't stand seeing you sad." Tears rolled down Yamada's cheeks. Takaki panicked. "Ryo-chan, did I dosomething wrong? Didn't you like the fireworks? I just wanted to cheer you up."
Yamada shook his head. "It's not that," he wrapped his hands around Takaki's neck. "I love it." He burried his head in Takaki's chest. "There's something I have to tell you," came Yamada's muffled voice. He looked up, looking straight in Yamada's eyes. "I'm moving... I'm moving later today."
"W-What?"
"That was the reason I've been moody lately. I didn't know how to tell you." Tears rolled down Yamada's cheeks again.
"Hey," Takaki smiled, wiping the tears off with his thumbs. "It's okay, we can always do a long distance relationship. Besides, we have Yabu! He can help us with the webcam date." He stared softly in Yamada's eyes. "If you're worried our relationship will be on a rocky road because of this, don't. My love for you is irreplacable." He kissed Yamada lightly at the tip of his nose.
Yamada laughed, rubbing his eyes. "Yuuyan, that's cheesy."
He pulled Yamada in his embrace. "But you know you like it."
Yamada rested his head on Takaki's chest. "Yeah, I do."
They stayed like that for a long while. Then, suddenly a drop of rain dropped. Then, a few more. Then, the rain poured hard on the surface of the Earth. "Come on, Ryo-chan," Takaki said, grabbing Yamada's hand as they ran towards a bus stop and took shelter there. Both teens looked at one another and laughed.
"That was close," Takaki said. Their clothes were soaked because of the rain.
"Yeah," Yamada agreed. Takaki noticed him shivering a bit.
"Here," Takaki said, putting his jacket around Yamada.
"B-But, won't you be cold? I can't-..." Yamada suddenly sneezed.
"There's no point arguing with me, Ryo-chan," and from the look on Takaki's face, Yamada knew Takaki's decision is absolute.
The younger teen sighed. "Alright." They sat on the bench, Yamada's head rested on Takaki's shoulder. "Yuuyan, can you wrap your hands around me?"
"Of course I can, Ryo-chan," and Takaki did as Yamada requested.
"Thank you. I feel safe feeling your warmth around me," Yamada said before drifting off to sleep.
Takaki smiled, looking at his sleeping lover. Of course Ryo-chan's tired, he thought. It's 1 a.m. after all. About two hours and a half later, Takaki decided to wake Yamada up. The rain had already stopped.
"Ryo-chan, wake up," he said softly.
Slowly, Yamada opened his eyes. "Uhm?"
"The rain has stopped," said Takaki.
"Are we going home now, Yuuyan?"
Takaki shook his head. "We still have one last stop."
On the scooter, Yamada wrapped his hands around Takaki's waist again, he rested his head on Takaki's back; his eyes closed. They arrived to their destination in about 30 minutes.
"Why are we at the beach?" Yamada asked, the sound of the waves crashing to the beach.
"Becuase I want to watch the sunrise with you."
Yamada smiled. They watched the sunrise in silence, Yamada sitting on Takaki's lap and Takaki's hands around Yamada's waist. They stayed at the beach for an hour. "Yuuyan, I have return home now," he said softly. Even so, Yamada really didn't want to be separated from Takaki's embrace.
"Alright," said Takaki. He gave Yamada a kiss at his neck, near the pulse. Then, he marked Yamada, causing the younger teen to moan his name. Yamada blushed when they stood facing one another. "Now, you are mine forever," he whisered in Yamada's ear. Yamada just blushed harder.
It was six-thirty in the morning when they arrived to Yamada's house. Yamada invited Takaki in, which Takaki had accepted. When they got to the living room, both Yamada's parents were there.
"Okaa-san, otou-san," said Yamada while Takaki just bowed to greet them.
"Ryosuke?" they said, surprised. Obviously they didn't realize Yamada was out all night.
"Where were you?" his mother asked.
"I'm sorry that I'm out without permission after curfew," Yamada said.
"It's all my fault, Mrs. Yamada, Mr. Yamada," Takaki said. "It's just that, for the last few days, Ryo-chan seems sad so I decided to cheer him up."
"Awe," his mother said.
Yamada blushed slightly. "So, what time are we leaving, okaa-san?"
Mr. and Mrs. Yamada looked at one another. Then, they looked at Yamada. "There's something we have to tell you."
"Ryosuke," his father started. Aafter leaving both Yamada and Takaki in suspense for a few minutes, he finally said, "We're not moving."
"We're not?" Yamada's face brightened.
"I turned down the promotion," said Mr. Yamada. "I like it here better."
Yamada turned to look at Takaki. "Did you hear that Yuuyan?" he smiled widely, happiness dances in his eyes. "I'm not moving!" He jumped on Takaki, and Takaki caught him. He wrapped his legs around Takaki's waist.
Takaki spun him around. "I know! I heard your father!" Takaki stopped spinning, hugging Yamada tightly towards him. "I'm glad," he whispered in Yamada's ear.
"Me too." Then, Takaki gave Yamada a long kiss They pulled apart when they heard someone cleared their throat.
"Although we agree with your relationship, but it doesn't mean you can kiss in front of us," Mr. Yamada said, amused.
Both teens blushed. "Sorry otou-san/ Mr. Yamada," Yamada and Takaki said simultaneously.
"I guess I'll take my leave now," Takaki said. "I'll see you later, Ryo-chan." Then, Takaki bowed at Mr. and Mrs. Yamada again.
"I'll show Yuuyan out," Yamada said sheepishly.
At the porch of Yamada's house, Takaki and Yamada stood there for awhile. "Well," Yamada said, smiling and slightly blushing. He looked at Takaki, "Thank you for last night. I had fun."
"Me too," replied Takaki. Suddenly, Takaki went towards Yamada and bit him at the neck again, the same spot as before. It caught Yamada by surprise. "That's my claim on you, Ryo-chan," he said before he left.
Yamada smiled, looking at Takaki who disappeared from sight the further he walked. He touched the love bite with his hand. "And I promise I am yours forever, Yuuyan."
