Yes, please post pics... I've been looking at the Lumix's myself. Which one did you get?

I got the one Wil recommended -- DMC-FZ8 in black. Newegg didn't have the black ones, so I got it from J&R. They also had 2-gig memory cards for $24.99. ($24.99!?!)

I only had a few minutes before going to bed to check it out, but the the zoom is sweeeeet. I'm planning on remembering my high-school B&W photography class techniques to re-learn all those manual settings and how they affect things. (Take several pics of the same subject, changing just one thing in between.)

Can you tell I'm excited? LOL
