Good for you, and in front of everyone. Served her right. A similar situation for me was one occasion on which the infamous Deena Minors, in my workplace, confronted me with a complaint. Most people are too polite/intimidated to stand up to her, but I was in no mood to take her crap that day. I cut her off after just a few words by getting within six inches of her face and forcefully saying, "Don't start with me." She clammed up, turned around and stalked off. A little victory, but significant, as she has never intimidated me since.
Well, merci bien. I was surprised when she backed down and slithered away. The knowledge that she is easily defused has helped a lot in encounters I've had with her since then; I believe the term is empowerment.
I prefer "verbal pwnage" -- but I'm an online gamer... and I'd never say that out loud. I'm not sure HOW one would say that out loud.
Poon? Pwun? Pwoon? With a Welsh accent, maybe? Sounds like something you'd eat when constipated.
If I ever say "LOL" out loud on purpose (it has *ahem* slipped out once or twice before) I will have to do something drastic, like throw my computer away.
