"Midnight Movie"...or, Seriously?! You're gonna end it like THAT?!

Usually, I find some interesting stuff on the On Demand service, and since I wanted to watch something that wasn't too long (Which made me think I'll watch "The Bunny and the Bull" some other time...), I chose this movie.

Now, in some cases, it was better than some horror films I've seen, but here's what really ticked me off-

Firstly, there is a loudmouth asshole named Mario in the film. The guy is so unlikable that the burly biker guy, Harley, is about to kill him. And of course, I was cheering Harley on about that decision. Doesn't happen as Bridget, the heroine of the movie, convinces him not to. But how the hell is this dickwad NOT the first picked off?! Remember that asshole Jerry from "Face Off" and how much of a conceited loudmouth he was? And it took such a long time to get him thrown out? Well, considering that's a reality show, I can understand why he was kept on, but this guy should've gotten it first before the good-natured Kenny or the dorky Sully.

And the ending...it just ends that the victims are all stuck in the purgatory of this film and the heroine doesn't make it out before the film stops while her brother escapes? And the police don't believe him and then lock up the film in the evidence locker?! This makes me think they were setting up for a sequel. That her brother is now in foster care (She was looking after him after they escaped their abusive father) and he'd been in trouble with the police because he'd try to break into the evidence locker to run the film and free her and the others...resulting in a once and for all showdown. Seriously, it should've had a better ending! "Terror Train" didn't have much of an ending, but at least people survived!

Actually, you know what it reminded me of but was way more satisfying?

Are You Afraid of the Dark?-"The Tale of the Midnight Madness"

Run down theater, a film that literally drags people in...only much better.

And yeah, that Nosferatu guy was in the "Twilight" movies and "True Blood". :)
