Here I am, l.j. lurking and no one is saying much. hmmm... If nothing is really going on in your lives, could you maybe make something up? You know just for entertainment. I'm trying to distract myself here.

I'm thinking of going down to Trinidad for a sex change. I want a penis to play with. Being able to write your name in the snow has always looked like so much fun.

long as you don't write my name in the snow. Bet you've been secretly fantasizing about me again.

Okay I have update on Dumbass...Can't file the missing persons report as he has been calling his dad on a regular basis.*damn* So I found out that last time Mel heard from him he was in California. Before that he was in Florida. Now lets look closer at this...Hurricanes in Florida...Mudslides in California...Is the universe trying to help me out here?? Kinda looks like it from where I'm sitting...

Also had a couple really odd dreams that I will post in my journal as soon as I am done typing this here.

Scientists are experimenting with human stem cells, we have all heard this in the news. What they haven't really said much about, and what I saw in a recent report on MSNBC, is just what they are doing. They have created what they have dubbed, "Chimera", due to it's mythological definition. They have been using human stem cells on animals. There are now pigs out there with both pig and human blood running through their veins, and have found that due to this, swine based diseases would be able to adapt now and infect humans. There are sheep with livers that are 80% human. Their hopes is that they would be able to transplant these into humans, and only have the 20% rejected while the 80% held. They have also made mice with brains that are 1% human. They said that they would even be able to make mice have human reproductive processes, which would, if two mice with these alterations mated, form a human embryo inside a female mouse. They don't see the problems with this of course, because as the scientist said, "Oh I don't see a problem, ( ... )

shivers indeed! Science used to be a wonderfull thing for humanity, deffinately there is too much *lets see what happens* and not enough of *the probable consequences of this are not good, so perhaps we should search in another direction* Whatever happen to common sense? The ancients considered a chimera to be a bad thing, a fearful thing, an unatural thing. Can't see farther than their own noses. I liked your post though, made me think.

I think the ancients had it right, and I think there is an awful lot that can still be learned from them but people seem to be too short sighted or too "poo poo" about it, how much evidence does there have to be that shows that they were a lot more advanced than most people give them credit for? Common sense? LOL! I think that it is a prerequisite that those in government and other powerful positions, seemingly to include those of science now, have to have their common sense removed before taking office. ;)
