I just recently accumulated this handful of female friends, and they are so much work.  They have all these problems that are not really problems, all the time, and they always want to talk about them.  On the phone.

I like them, and my life is better with them in it.  But good GOD.

That is a generalization. If you wanted to talk about ALL women, you would say that all women buy things and then they call each other on the phone, or alternatively, meet each other in person just to talk about said new things.
