So after talking with my advisor yesterday we decided I'm going to hold off on turning in my thesis till end of January beginning of Feb.  That means on paper I won't finish it till next semester but since I wasn't graduating till then it's not the end of the world.  And we found some extra funding to cover it, so that's not an issue.  I could have ( Read more... )

Rather than dwelling on the unpleasant aspects of my trip to Texas (of which there were many) I'm trying to concentrate on the good things. Mostly getting to spend time with my sister's son who I don't know as well as my brother's oldest two. He's two and talks more than any child his age you've ever met. I'm out of work except the ten hours a week I get at school.  I decided not to look for another job until the thesis is in (Dec 8, don't want to talk about it).  I have shows on Thanksgiving and a lot during the holiday season so I'll have income from that and I can probably pick up some holiday hours at my old ( Read more... )
