Meeting Samantha Ferris

I was at the ConCept sci-fi convention which took place in Montreal, Canada, over the weekend and one of the guests of honour was Samantha Ferris who played the character of Ellen on Supernatural. I had wanted to meet her for a long time so I was thrilled when I learned that she was going to be there.

Wow this is so cool. Fabulous to 'see' you LV. It's so nice to hear about actors who are just normal people. And sharing the joy us fans have at meeting them. Thank you for sharing.

I've heard from various people who have attended Spn conventions that she was an extremely nice woman. I do hope she comes back into the show, Ellen is one of my favourite characters.

I really hope that Ellen will come back to the show as well and one of the reasons is that I'm growing a little tired of those young bimbos with very little substance that they've been introducing to the show over the last couple of years. You'd think that with the whole Jo fiasco and then the Bela catastrophe in season 3, the producers would have learned something...

It would be a real pleasure to translate part of your story! And you don't even need the puppy eyes... Hee! :D Just email me the stuff whenever you're ready.

I'm with you on the bimbo front. I didn't find Jo, Bela or blond Ruby even remotely convincing. Jo was a disaster, ridiculous to my mind from the moment she managed to get the drop on Dean when they were first introduced. Sam Ferris always looked capable as Ellen. Now if they'd cast someone along the lines of Eliza Dushku (Faith from Buffy) as her daughter I probably could have gone with it.

Water under the bridge though, so far I've loved the new season.

I'll send my bit of story over to you tonight when I come back from Fat Club, it's not huge. It's a statement from the Canadian resistance fighters! Sam is actually my villain in this one and she's quite a piece of work!
