me = het recs

You know, I didn't know how hard it'd be finding good het romance until I began trying.  Maybe it's just that I've been up to my eyeballs in yaoi/slash for the past few years, but it seems that yaoi/slash fics vastly outnumber het fics.  It's really interesting, considering how a great many published books have het romances.

Plus, you really can't argue with statistics. Whatever the reasons may be, there are more slash writers than het writers. So that means you get more good writers and fics for slash than for het, too.

Actually, what came to me was the idea that slash fic proliferate in the Internet because it's not really mainstream---I think. But I do know that one of the reasons I still end up slash occassionally is because there are far more great slash fics than het ones.

But the good het fics are there - you just have to look harder to find them. I've read a lot of good het HP fics, but I mainly ship Harry/Ginny, so I can't help you if you're looking for Draco/Hermione. >3

I used to be a big OTP fan but for HP, I somehow developed lots of different people I like together. So bring on the H/G fics---I'm really still trying to figure out a het pairing I'm really rooting for! ^_^
